Update: Thanks to Memnalar who pointed out that there was one big bug in the system in that I hadn't actually activated the calendar for public viewing. Hence it looked fine to me, but blank to everyone else. Cheers mate :)

---

This is mainly for Australian writers, but in some cases is useful for internation types as well. I've just finished putting the finishing touches on a customised calendar for submissions to Australian journals and competitions. You can find it at the 'Calendar' page on my web site.

As I say, it's mostly for Aussie writers, but a good amount of the listed publications will accept international submissions as well, so check it out. The first step to becoming a published writer is to submit your work, so don't be afraid to do so (but do be afraid if what you submit isn't your absolute best effort ;P).

That's all, back to baking. Good luck!

Sweet, awesome resource. I've been trying to find something like that for ages. And the fact it's mostly for Aussie writers is perfectly fine by me. ;)

Hullo there! I haven't updated for a little while so it's a little thin on comps and such that're due next year. But a big update is on my list of things-to-do. (:

Awesome, can't wait. :) I just can't believe I've discovered this so late, but there's always next year.

Yeap, there's always a bunch of competitions on the go here in Aus. Are you East coast? 'cos there's a whole bunch of festivals always going on over there. :D

Yep. :) Although I could never keep count of what's going on, and a lot of the events seem to be priced quite high, which isn't helpful for a poor student like me. :P

Wow, that's very cool of you.

This might be a quirk on my end, but I got this error message when I tried to view the calendar: "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them."

Any thoughts?

Is it showing up any at all? There should only be orange labels with events up until around September. (would it be possible to send/upload to scraps a screenshot?

Here's what I get from the Google Calendar portion: [link]

When I click on the "look for more" and "look for earlier dates" links, nothing happens aside from the dates changing.

The rest of the site shows up fine. :(
